1. Clinical Medicine (in Chinese/English)

Introduction: This program was established in November 1931. It is a Liaoning provincial model program and passed the accreditation of clinical medicine organized by Ministry of Education on December, 2011. It is comprised of four national key disciplines, one national experimental teaching demonstration center, one national off-campus practice base for undergraduates and 38 national clinical key specialized subject construction projects, which guarantees high quality professional education for our students.

Graduation and Degree Issued: Students who has completed all the required courses and passed all the examinations will be allowed to graduate. Students who meet the requirement of Degree Awarding Committee will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

2. Stomatology (in Chinese/English)

Introduction: Dentistry education of China Medical University was started in 1948. In 1979, dentistry program was established and the dentistry department was founded in 1985. Then in 1988, it developed into the School of Dentistry and Oral Health. The dentistry program of CMU is the first-level characteristic discipline of Liaoning province, the pilot program of college comprehensive reform of Liaoning province. The Stomatology Teaching Center is the model center of Liaoning provincial experimental teaching as well as the clinical skills training center for the college students in Liaoning province. Periodontics and oral and maxillofacial surgery are the key clinical specialized subject construction projects of national Health Development Planning Commission. It passed the stomatology accreditation organized by Ministry of Education on December, 2014 and ranked No. 9 in the evaluation of Ministry of Education colleges' stomatology program in the whole country on 2020.

Application fee: 800 RMB ;

Physical examination: 700 RMB;

Residence permit: 800 RMB per year;

Medical insurance: 800 RMB per year;

Accommodation: 7,500 RMB per year for a single room.

Entry Requirements

1.  Applications are open to foreign citizens with reliable financial support and stability who are senior-high-school graduates aged 18-25 and in good situation of health. Applicants should have no record of violation of discipline, punishment for public security, and conduction of criminal. Applicants should hold friendly attitude towards China and have good conduct. They should also comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect Chinese culture and traditions.

2. International students who were once Chinese citizens and have immigrated to a foreign country should hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for 4 or more years, and have a record proving that the applicants have stayed abroad for more than 2 years during the last 4 years (staying abroad for over 9 months in a year will be counted as one year and calculation of the duration of stay will be based on the entry and exit stamps).

3. International students have foreign nationality at birth, whose parents are both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents is an Chinese citizen, they should hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for 4 or more years, and have a record proving that the applicants have stayed abroad for more than 2 years during the last 4 years (staying abroad for over 9 months in a year will be counted as one year and calculation of the duration of stay will be based on the entry and exit stamps).

4. Chinese language proficiency of HSK Level 4 or above (for Chinese-taught program applicants).

5. For the applicants of English-taught programs, Chinese language proficiency is not required when they apply, but the applicants must have HSK level 4 or above before internship. Applicants whose native/official language is not English should submit the IELTS /TOFEL result or other certificate to certify their English level. The result of New TOFEL should be above 70 (each part should be more than 15). The result of IELTS should be more than 6.0 (each part should be more than 5.0).

6. Examination results in physics, chemistry and biology should be better than average.

Documentary requirements

1. Scanned copy of the passport (photo page, the latest exit/entrance record visa page, two blank visa pages).

2. Senior high school transcripts and graduation diploma (Students expecting to graduate should provide an official letter stating the expected graduation date, and submit the graduation diploma if admitted), which should be the original documents or certified copies in Chinese or English.

3. Letter of financial support and Bank statement (The name on bank statement must be the same with the name of letter of financial support). Ask for minimum balances is at least 100,000 CNY to be maintained on the financial guarantor's account.

4. HSK score report (for Chinese-taught program applicants).

5. TOEFL/IELTS or other score reports of English language test (for English-taught program applicants whose native/official language is not English).

6. For applicants whose age is under 18 and parents are not resident in China, their parents must formally entrust a foreigner or Chinese resident in China as the guardian of the applicants and provide relevant entrusted materials.

7. For the current applicants in China, the following documents are also required to submit in addition to the ones mentioned above:

(1) residence permit page;

(2) transfer certificate/no objection certificate/graduation certificate;

(3) transcripts from the previous school;

 (4) registration form of temporary residence for Visitors from Overseas;

(5) foreigner Physical Examination Form.

Application Procedure

1. Online application

Access the online application system (https://cmu.17gz.org/member/login.do) to make your application.

The application system is accessible from February to June 2022 .

Applicants must fill in real, correct and complete information online and upload application materials as required. The applicant will be responsible for all consequences and responsibilities. The results of the admission and enrolment will be affected if any wrong, missing or false information occur.

2. After receiving the application, CMU will examine the application materials. For applicants who have passed the application document examination and online interview, CMU will issue electronic acceptance letters。

3. Once receiving the acceptance letters, applicants shall pay the deposit (not refundable) within a given time, and upload the remittance letter to the application system.

4. For applicants who have paid the full tuition fee of the first year, CMU will issue an "Visa Application Form for Study in China" (JW202 form) and "Admission Notice letter".

5. Students holding "Admission Notice letter" and "Visa application Form for Study in China" (JW202 form) issued by our school can apply for X1 visa to study in China at the People's Republic of China Embassy or Consulates.

Medical Insurance

All international students in China must apply for medical insurance in accordance with the relevant regulations of the People's Republic of China and the school. If the insurance is not purchased within the time limit, the school will not admit the applicants or cancel the enrollment qualification.

Accommodation

CMU have two dormitory buildings for international students on campus. Students will live in single rooms attached with bathroom and other necessary facilities. There are coin-operated washing machines in the dormitory building. There is also a public kitchen on each floor in the dorms. Students can cook the traditional food by themselves.

For students who enter the clinical course learning stage, they will study in the school’s affiliated hospital, the school will no longer provide dormitories, students need to move off campus to rent their own house.

Registration

1. Admitted applicants should register at the school within the specified time and complete the enrollment procedures according to the admission notice. Those who are unable to register on time for some reasons should submit an application for postponement of registration to the school in advance. It is deemed to have waived the admission qualification automatically if the applicants leave or leave overdue for more than two weeks (10 days) except for some legitimate reasons such as force majeure.

2. After the enrollment, students must undergo a review of admission qualifications. If fraudulent or tampering with application materials is found during the application process, their admission qualifications will be cancelled. All responsibilities and consequences arising therefrom shall be borne by the applicant.

Chinese Government Scholarship

Undergraduate scholarship recipients must register for Chinese-taught programs.
