BSc in Business Management:

The Global Institute of Management & Economics (GIME) at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) offers a BSc in BM (Business Management) based on teaching and research, complemented with practical application of learning during an internship.

This program will enable students to understand how firms become and remain international in scope. They will learn to apply management theories and techniques in an developing multinational business environment.

Students are provided with a variety of activities on and off campus, and 24/7 emergency services. GIME arranges internship opportunities, workshops and enterprise visits for our students. The companies combine both local organizations and multinational corporations. Students can participate in and experience organizational culture within Chinese business environment.

Double Degree Program

Leading to the Award of BSc. (Hons) Business Studies (UK) - Business Management (China)

After three years of study in DUFE, students can choose to continue their study in DUFE or in Ulster University in the UK for one year's further study. If our students pass all the courses and meet both institutions' graduation requirements, students can be awarded a bachelor degree from both DUFE and Ulster University, and have gained the study experience both in China and Europe.

BSc in Tourism Management

Tourism is a growth industry and is able to provide significant economic contribution to the society. UNWTO forecasts 1.6 billion international arrivals by 2020 with the receipts of 2 trillion USD. To cater this big trend, DUFE offers Bachelor program in tourism management. The aim of this program is to enhance the theoretical and practical abilities of the students, enabling them to work professionally in the tourism and hospitality industry. In this program, students will not only take the courses in the tourism and management areas, but they can also have a strong industry experience.

GIME arranges full-time paid internship opportunities for our senior students in this program. The companies combine both local organizations and multinational corporations. Students can participate in and experience organizational culture within Chinese business environment.

For our Tourism Management program specifically, students who study in the program have an opportunity to complete their internships in world famous hotel & resort corporations in Dalian, including Kempinski Hotel, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Hilton Hotel and Castle Hotel attached to Marriott Group.

Start Date: September 2018

Course Length: 4 year (3 years in DUFE and 1 year in Ulster University for Double Degree Program students)

Age Requirement: 18 years old and above

Academic Entry Requirement:

Successful completion of a senior high school degree with good grades and full transcripts.

English Language Entry Requirement:

IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.0 in all subskills) or equivalent.

Applicants with IELTS 5.0 or below can enroll on Foundation courses prior to commencing their studies (Entry test is required by Ulster University before entering the last year's study in the UK for Double Degree Program students.)

Tuition Fee: 35,000 RMB (5,400 USD approx.) for one academic year in DUFE;

                     13,420 GBP for one year of study in Ulster University (ONLY for Double Degree Program).
