Payment (both degree and non-degree)

For oversea bank card: Alipay oversea payment is recommended. The service fee is 2% (the minimal standard is 16 USD).

Step1: Visit SHU's payment page and input your passport No., passport name and verification code to get the exact payment amount you owe.
Step2: Click "GO PAY".
Step3: Login the overseas Online payment platform, and select Shanghai University as your institution, and click "Go To".
Step4: Choose the country you will pay from, and the payment item and account, and then click "Next".
Step5: Select your preferred payment method, input the payer Information, Review and confirm payment information, and then finish the payment.

• For China mainland bank Card: Wechat, Alipay, APP of Agricultural Bank of China, and its online bank are recommended. More details please refer to the download area https://apply.shu.edu.cn.

About Tuition Fees

1.1 The fees for international students shall be calculated in CNY.
1.2 Payment can be made with deposit cards issued by Banks in China or credit cards with the marks of "UnionPay", "VISA" and "MasterCard". Any commission incurred by the use of "VISA" or "MasterCard" or other credit cards issued by overseas banks shall be borne by the students themselves.
1.3 International students shall pay tuition fees in full within the specified time. Those who owe for no reason or fail to pay off tuition fees on time shall not be registered.

About Tuition deposit

Payment

1.1 The self-paid applicants of degree programs must pay the tuition fees deposit （One-year or half a year tuition fee）when receiving the receiving the E-admission notice within 20 working days. If the payment is not completed after 20 days, it would be regarded as giving up.
*The following types of students can be exempted from paying the tuition deposit:
a) Scholarship students (including Chinese Government Scholarship, International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, Shanghai Government Scholarship, Shanghai University Scholarship, and CCN foundation program scholarship). Please log in to the application system, click "Tuition Deposit Payment", and upload the screenshot of the scholarship confirmation email. After being confirmed by working staff, paper admission documents will be delivered soon. 
b) Degree students recommended by partner institutions of Shanghai University.
