SCNU International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

"International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship" program is established by Center for Language Education and Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as CLEC), for the purpose of training international Chinese fans into qualified Chinese-language teachers and facilitating development of Chinese language education in various countries. Outstanding students, scholars and Chinese language teachers are encouraged to apply Chinese University for admission.

General Eligibility

√ Non-Chinese Nationality, in good physical and mental condition, well performed both academically and behaviorally.

√ Chinese-lovers or Aspired to take future careers on the teaching or international promotion of Chinese language.

Scholarship Programs and Requirements

√  Special online scholarship program

● Program contents (For reference only, the recommendation institution can put forward the training content to meet the needs of your own students): Charming Great Bay Area & Dynamic Lingnan, Chinese Language Learning, Intensive Training of Overseas Chinese Teachers, etc

● Registration method: Organized and applied by a Recommending Institute, providing student list and HSK scores;

● Number requirement: Each group shall have no less than 15 members;

● Program Duration: No less than 4 weeks, one semester or one academic year(One semester or one academic year is recommended);

● Chinese proficiency requirements:

·Those who apply for four weeks to one semester generally need HSK (no specific requirements for grades and levels).

·Those who apply for one academic year shall have a minimum score of 180 in HSK Test (Level 3),and those who are able to provide HSKK Test score are preferred. 

·Applicants currently work as Chinese language teachers can be exempted from providing HSK certificate if they provide the employment certificate and recommendation letter issued by the employer.

● Enrollment Time: The recommending unit shall contact the receiving institution (SCNU) and report to CLEC for approval in advance. After the program is approved, the recommended unit and the receiving institution shall agree on the opening time. 

Admission Procedure

Applicants can log on the international Chinese teacher scholarship registration website (http://cis.chinese.cn),  register the individual application account number, fill in and submit the application materials online.

The specific process is as follows

1. The recommendation institution shall accept the application materials according to the principle of territorial ownership, publicly select and recommend the best eligible applicants to the receiving institution.

2. The receiving institution（SCNU）is responsible for reviewing the applicants' admission qualifications and recommending scholarship candidates to CLEC.

3. CLEC will complete the scholarship review and notify the results ASAP. Applicants can log in to the account to check the results. Scholarship winners get scholarship certificates online.

4. Receiving institution is responsible for issuing admission notice to scholarship Winners.

√ Scholarship winners log on the SCNU International Student Service System (http:// istudy.scnu.edu.cn) to submit your online application. 

Disclaimer

1. Incomplete or unqualified applications will not be processed.

2. Applicants will be disqualified from application in case of the fact that application materials are found fraudulent or application materials are completed and submitted by someone else.

3. If scholarship winners do not register as requested without reason, the scholarship will be canceled.

4. Scholarship will be canceled for those who drop out, or take schooling suspension during the study.
