Chinese Government Scholarship "University Postgraduate" Program

Program Category:

Full-time Postgraduate Students (Master's Programs and Doctoral Programs)

Prospective Students:

The prospective students for September intake should be freshmen from outside of China in principle. In addition, outstanding undergraduate students and master students in their final year of study in China are also eligible to apply.

Applicant Eligibility:

Be a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic of China and be in good health both mentally and physically;

Be a bachelor's degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master's programs;

Be a master's degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;

Scholarship:

The specific details of the scholarship are subject to the information published on the CSC Study in China website (http://www.campuschina.org).

Application Documents:

1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese or English);

2. Copy of the passport front page

If the validity of the applicant's current passport does not meet the requirement (meaning the passport is not expired before March 1, 2023), please apply for a new passport before submitting the application;

3. A notarized highest diploma

Prospective diploma recipients must submit official proof of student status in their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must include attachments with notarized Chinese or English translations;

4. Academic transcripts (from the undergraduate program onwards)

Applicants shall provide copies of academic records from the first to the last semester during the undergraduate, master's (if any), and doctoral programs (if any). These transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attended university's academic affairs office, graduate school, or student management department. They can be in Chinese or English, and must be attached with notarized English translations if they are in foreign languages other than English;

5. Language qualification certificates

Applicants (except MPH) who applying for 'Professional type' shall provide HSK 4 certificate.

6. A study or research plan in English (1,000 words or above)

7. Two letters of Recommendation in English

8. Acceptance Letter

Applicants for Master's and doctoral programs are recommended to contact professors in our university and get an acceptance letter. The contacts of supervisors and Acceptance Letter template can be found at https://e-sie.njmu.edu.cn/5082/list.htm 

9. A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the applicant shall keep the original copy)

The form is issued by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the attending physician's signature, the official stamp of the hospital, or a stamped photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take a physical examination, as the result is valid for only 6 months.

10. Non-criminal record report

The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.

Application Process:

Step One: Online Application

Visit CSC Study in China website and click Scholarship Application for Students at http://www.campuschina.org;

Input your personal details, and select Program Category Type B. The Agency Number of Nanjing Medical University is 10312.

Move on to the section of "Language Proficiency and Study Plan" and upload the "Supporting Documents" as requested, then click "Submit" to complete the application submission.

Step Two: Interviews

After the applicant's information is approved, the school will notify the applicant by email concerning the interview.

*Please make sure your email address is correct and check your email regularly so as not to miss the notice of interview arrangement.

Step Three: Admission

Applicants can check the admission results in the Chinese Government Scholarship Study Abroad Management Information System. Upon receiving the admission notice, applicant shall register at the Nanjing Medical University within stipulated time with all original application materials.

*The registration procedure for the overseas students will be notified separately in accordance with China's entry policy.
