2022 Chinese Government Scholarship (MUC)

1. Program Categories, Duration and Language of Instruction
(1) This scholarship supports graduate students.
(2) The study duration is 2-3 years for Master's students, 4 year for Doctoral students.
(3) Students in Minzu University of China are only instructed in Chinese.

2. Application Receiving Agency and Deadline

Applicants should apply to Minzu University of China before（date）April 5, 2022.

3. Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:
be a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic of China, and be in good health;
be a bachelor's degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master's programs;
be a master's degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.

4. Coverage and Standard

(1) Tuition waiver: Tuition funds will be comprehensively used by the host university. It may cover scholarship students' education, administration costs and expenditures to support student activities.
(2) Accommodation: free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy. If the host university requires students to live on campus, the university will accommodate the scholarship students in a university dormitory; if the host university permits students to live off campus, the university will provide monthly/quarterly accommodation subsidy:
Master's student: CNY 700 per month;
Doctoral students : CNY 1000 per month.
(3) Stipend:
Master's students: CNY 3,000 per month;
Doctoral students: CNY 3,500 per month.

Within the scholarship duration, registered scholarship students will receive a stipend from their host university each month. Students registering on or before the 15th of the month will receive a full stipend of that month. Those who register after the 15th of the month will receive a half stipend of that month. Graduating students will receive stipend until half month after the graduation date. If registered student stays out of China for more than 15 days due to a personal reason (school holidays excluded), his stipend will be stopped during his leaving.

Application Procedure
(1) Applicants directly apply to the designated Chinese universities undertaking this program.
(2) Recommended candidates must finish the online application procedure at CSC Online Application System and Minzu University of China（MUC） Online Application System for International Students. Please go to https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login and http://lxs.muc.edu.cn/member/login. do and click Application Online for International Students, complete the required information, submit the completed Application Form and related materials.
(3) Applicants should consult the designated Chinese universities for the instructions of the CSC Online Application System for International Students and Agency Number. 6. Application Documents

(1) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship（in Chinese or English）.
(2) Notarized highest diploma (photocopy): Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
(3) Academic transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
(4) A Study Plan or Research Proposal in Chinese or English, including educational background, understandings and views on your major and China, study and research plan, etc. Doctoral students should write at least 1500 words, Master’s students should write at least 1000 words.
(5) Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors for Doctoral students. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors for Master's students.
(6) The copy of valid HSK Certificate(necessary).
(7) Copy of First Page of Passport.
(8) Foreigner Physical Examination Form （photocopy), please written in English; The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.
