CAFA accepts applicants who obtain the Chinese Government Scholarships from China Scholarship Council (CSC). The specific application requirements are as follows:
Application
Applicants first check the information on the CSC website http://www.campuschina.org/ and after selecting the major and universities they should contact the Chinese embassy or consulate or other accepting agency to understand the specific application process; meanwhile, the registration and application materials should be submitted online at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn.
The application period is from January to April of each year.
Review application materials
CSC shall first review the application materials submitted by each applicant in accordance with relevant regulations, and arrange the registration number (CSC No.) for each one. Second CSC shall confirm the study category and funding method of each student, and also preliminarily arrange their majors and possible accepting institutions. Last, all the above information will be sent to the relevant institutions through the "Information platform". The review period is from May to July of each year.
Admission from university
The university will review and accept applicants' materials according to the list requested by CSC. If the university cannot accept applicants due to the unsuitability of the major setting or their failure to participate in the entrance examination, the university will transfer the information to the next voluntary university of the applicants. For applicants who meet the admission requirements of CAFA, we will prepare the admission notice and the visa application form for international students ("JW201" form), and send it to CSC. The admission period is from May to July of each year.
Chinese language course and professional Foundation Course shall be implemented in accordance with relevant regulations of CSC and CAFA.
