World-class Disciplines

The Ministry of Education has said that the plan for higher education now focuses on deepening reform in a comprehensive way. It is implementing measures to establish world first-class universities and world first-class disciplines, and supporting measures are in progress.

There are 147 institutions have been designated to develop world-class courses(up to 2022). The institutions for the new plan were selected after a process of peer competition, expert review and government evaluation.

According to the authorities, being world class is not a fixed status, thus the universities will receive dynamic monitoring and management.
