Scholarship for Outstanding Self-funded International Students of Fujian Medical University

Scholarship value

  • The first level accounts for 3 percent of candidates with an amount of RMB 7,000 per year;
    The second level accounts for 6 percent of candidates with an amount of RMB 5,000 per year;
    The third level accounts for 9 percent of candidates with an amount of RMB 3,000 per year.

Eligibility requirements

  • 1. Candidates should be full-time self-funded international students with student status in our university (freshman excluded).
    2. Candidates should comply with laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and rules and regulations of Fujian Medical University and Overseas Education College.
    3. Candidates' overall grades of the academic year should be within 60 percent (including 60 percent) of his/her grade (class).
    4. Students with one of the following cases are not entitled to apply for the above scholarships in an academic year.
    4.1 Students who receive warning and above punishments due to breach of the regulations of the university in the academic year;
    4.2 Students who are absent for class up to 20 periods and above in a semester;
    4.3 Students who fail exams of one or more compulsory courses in the academic year;
    4.4 Students who are tardy to pay tuition fee, accommodation fee, insurance fee and other fees;
    4.5 Students who start to take clinical practice will no longer be considered as the candidates of the Scholarship for Outstanding Self-funded International Students of Fujian Medical University.

How to apply

  • 1. Students submit the written application to their counselor.
    2. The counselor will submit the application to the Student Award Appraisal Leading Group of OEC after eligibility assessment.
    3. The Student Award Appraisal Leading Group of OEC will conduct the preliminary assessment according to the overall grade of the academic year. After being publicly announced in the college for three working days, the results of the preliminary assessment which receives no objection will be submitted to the Office of the FMU International Student Award Appraisal Leading Group.
    4. The Office of the FMU International Student Award Appraisal Leading Group will submit the results of the preliminary assessment to the FMU International Student Award Appraisal Leading Group for approval. The appraisal results will be released after being publicly announced in the university for three working days without any objection.
