Introduction
- Academic Progress Scholarship is set up for international students for the purpose of cultivating the spirit of "understanding and befriending China, observing laws and disciplines and diligently learning with a studious and motivated attitude", and encouraging self-funded international students to study diligently, take clinical practice seriously, make continuous improvement and achieve excellent academic performance.
Scholarship value
- The number of candidates accounts for 5 percent of the number of students in each grade, RMB 1,000 per year for each student.
Eligibility requirements
- 1. Candidates should comply with laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China as well as rules and regulations of Fujian Medical University and the Overseas Education College;
2. Candidates should not receive warning and above punishments due to breach of the regulations of the university in the appraisal period;
3. Candidates should not be tardy to pay tuition fee, accommodation fee, insurance fee and other fees in the appraisal period;
4. Candidates should pass all compulsory course exams without absence or taking any make-up exam;
5. Candidates will be ranked from the top to bottom according to increase range of grade ranking of test scores. The candidates in the same rank will be ranked from the top to bottom according to grade ranking of test scores and the priority will be given to the higher ranking candidates.
How to apply
- 1. The counselor will provide a list of candidates for preliminary assessment according to statistical results of test scores in the first month after the academic year begins. The number of candidates accounts for 5 percent of the number of students in each grade. Students who are taking clinical practice will not be considered as the candidates of this scholarship.
2. The application will be submitted to the Student Award Appraisal Leading Group of OEC.
3.The Student Award Appraisal Leading Group of OEC will conduct the preliminary assessment according to the overall grade of the academic year. After being publicly announced in the college for three working days, the results of the preliminary assessment which receives no objection will be submitted to the Office of the FMU International Student Award Appraisal Leading Group.
4. The Office of the FMU International Student Award Appraisal Leading Group will submit the results of the preliminary assessment to the FMU International Student Award Appraisal Leading Group for approval. The appraisal results will be released after being publicly announced in the university for three working days without any objection.
