​2022 Chinese Government Scholarship-University Graduate Program, Nanjing Agricultural University

I. Program Description

In 2022, Chinese Government Scholarship is expected to support outstanding international students who wish to enrol into full-time graduate-level degree Programs at Nanjing Agricultural University (hereinafter referred to as NAU) commencing in Academic Year 2022-2023. The successful applicants will be offered the Chinese Government Scholarship covering the duration of the degree programs.

 

II. Program Type 

Bilateral Program (Type A)

Bilateral Program includes a full or partial scholarship established by MOE in accordance with educational exchange agreements or consensus between Chinese government and governments of other countries, institutions, universities or international organizations. NAU doesn't accept this type of application. Instead, a pre-admission will be provided for the qualified candidate to facilitate the application. Chinese University Program (Type B)

The applicant needs to submit the application directly to Nanjing Agricultural University as required.This document presents relevant information for this type of scholarship.

IV. Funding Policy

Tuition Waiver.

Accommodation: Free dormitory (standard room) for on-campus students. Accommodation subsidy for off-campus students: CNY 700 per month for Master students and CNY 1,000 per month for PhD students.

Monthly Stipend: CNY 3,000 per month for Master students; CNY 3,500 per month for Doctoral students.

International travel expenses are borne by the students themselves.

Note:

Students registered before 15th (inclusive) of the month will be entitled to the whole monthly stipend. Those who register after 15th will receive half of the monthly stipend of September. Students who fail to register after the deadline will be automatically disqualified from Chinese Government Scholarship. 
Students should strictly abide by the regulations of the university. For students who leave China during the school holidays, the monthly stipend will be paid normally. For students who ask for leave for more than 15 days in one month or for more than 15 consecutive days in addition to the school holidays due to personal reasons, the monthly stipend will be deducted accordingly. 


V. Application Eligibility

The applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic of China, and must hold a valid ID certificate.

The applicant must apply from abroad, or the applicant is an outstanding graduate from a Chinese university, and has been recommended by his/her university.

The applicant for a Master's program must be a Bachelor's degree holder of relating majors. The applicant for a PhD program must be a Master's degree holder of relating majors.

The applicant must have excellent academic performance, and meets the requirements of the applied major.

The applicant must be in good health. The applicant must be no more than 35 when applying for a Master's program. The applicant must be no more than 40 when applying for the a PhD program.

Language requirement

Chinese-taught Programs: It is mandatory to acquire a valid certificate of HSK Level 5 (or above).

English-taught Programs: From English-speaking country (or); With 1 year or above discipline-relevant experience in English-speaking countries (or); Certificate of IELTS >= 6 or TOFEL >=80 (TOFEL Mybest Scores is accepted, university DI code: C702, TOFEL Essentials are accepted.).

The applicant has submitted a complete set of materials.

The applicant has not been granted scholarships from other Scholarship Committees for the 2022/23 academic year.

VII. Application Procedure

Step 1. Find a suitable degree program.

Step 2. Find a relevant supervisor to provide provisional acceptance letter.

Step 3. Prepare application documents (Relative forms can also be downloaded from the university application system). *Please refer to VI. Documents Required.

Step 4. Register and apply in Chinese Government Scholarship Information Management System for International Students: http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org. (Type: B; Agency No.: 10307)

Step 5. Register and apply in NAU university application system: https://njau.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx.

Step 6. Pay the application fee: CNY 500 or USD 80. While transferring application fee to NAU's bank account, please indicate your name and passport number on bank note's remark area and send the receipt to admission@njau.edu.cn. The application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE once remitted.

VIII. Application Deadline

The applicant must submit the application online with application material mentioned above before March 31, 2022. The recommendation list will be sent to the review committee of CSC Scholarship for approval.
