China has released policies to further enhance support for entrepreneurship and innovation by college students, according to a set of guidelines recently released by the General Office of the State Council.
Since college students become a major source of public entrepreneurship and innovation, the guidelines call for measures to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities, integrate relevant education throughout the entire process of talent training, and establish a new type of talent training model oriented towards innovation and entrepreneurship.
Relevant departments should strengthen the construction of a service platform for college student innovation and entrepreneurship, and optimize the environment, according to the guidelines, which also stress the importance of strengthening financial and taxation support for college student entrepreneurs and innovators by creating new funding channels and introducing favorable financial policies.
New regulations have been issued for local governments at all levels to study, formulate and implement policies and measures to support college student innovation and entrepreneurship, and help them solve practical problems in a timely manner.
