Supported by the Ministry of Education and the China Scholarship Council, the Experiencing China program was launched in 2015 to help international students visit more parts of China and gain a deeper understanding of the country as it really is, as well as share their thoughts and experiences with more people and play an active role in promoting friendships between the peoples of all countries.

In the program, international students go deep into all walks of life to understand China's development and changes. At the same time, it closely integrates local cultural elements and show students around cultural heritage sites and other areas with Chinese characteristics to showcase the charm of Chinese culture.

In this process, they come to understand China's national conditions and the history of the Communist Party of China, express their affirmation of China, their understanding of China's economic and social development, and their recognition of the integration and connectivity of China and the world's culture.

During the COVID-19 epidemic period, the Experiencing China program focused on the two major themes "anti-epidemic control" and "poverty alleviation", and carried out activities combining online and offline forms.

Next, on the basis of in-depth advancement of enrollment training and reforms and continuing to improve service management, the program will focus on expanding and strengthening the Experiencing China brand, and help more international students visit China and gain a more in-depth understanding of the real China.

The program will focus on presenting the new development of contemporary China, especially the achievements made in China's politics, economy, culture, society, and ecological civilization in the post-epidemic era.

It will also build a platform for students, encourage students to share what they have seen and heard, and tell their stories about studying in China, and play an active role in promoting people-to-people connectivity all over the world.
