A hundred overseas students from the Communication University of China (CUC) had a cultural exchange with teachers and students at Canvard College, Beijing Technology and Business University, to explore Chinese culture and arts.
A Chinese calligraphy and painting teacher introduced calligraphy to the students. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students learned to write phrases like "Let Friendship Have a Long History". They also tried their hands at making dumplings.
With the help of Chinese teachers and students, the overseas students also played the Chinese musical instruments erhu and guzheng, and tried on costumes and paraphernalia from Peking opera.
CUC has attached importance to culture and innovation in the education of international students, and is committed to the cultivation of cross-cultural competence.
To this end, the university builds a good communication platform for students, creates conditions for cultural experience, and improves the language and cultural communication skills of international students through various cultural exchange activities.
