East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in Shanghai recently released the prospectus for the 2022 ECUST Spring Semester Pre-university Program for International Students.
According to the university, the program will help international students improve rapidly in learning Mandarin and bolstering their cross-cultural communication, while also offering courses related to their desired major, making it easier for them to apply for their preferred universities.
It is scheduled to run from Feb 28 to July 1, 2022, with the application deadline being March 15, 2022.
Non-Chinese citizens aged between 17 to 25 years old who want to study in a science or engineering program at a Chinese university but have not met the undergraduate admission standard yet can apply for the program.
The program offers courses like Mandarin language skills, mathematics, physics, cultural lectures, and language practice.
It includes offline classes at the No 7 teaching building on the Xuhui campus of ECUST, as well as online class via platforms like ClassIn, Tencent Meeting, and WeChat.
Students attending classes on campus must meet the requirements for the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures of Shanghai and the university.
