Lasting for nearly two months, the Beijing Institute of Technology offered series of lessons "on the cloud", successfully attracting more than 250 international students from more than 20 well-known overseas universities in 24 countries.
In "cloud lessons", students around the world were able to communicate and exchange thoughts through seminars on topics like "Big Data Science and Technology", "Green Transportation - Intelligent Manufacturing" and "Chinese Language and Multicultural Practice".
The lesson can be seen as an academic sharing also a cultural exchange. During the lessons, China's cutting-edge technology that serves as the chief cornerstone of China's economy, welcomed international audiences.
Taking lessons in virtual reality, deep learning and social network analysis, autonomous driving, and energy storage technology gave international students the opportunity to get close to the stories behind advanced technologies, their applications, and the impact these technologies will have on the future.
It also directly promoted Chinese culture abroad and gave students the chance to enjoy multiculturalism by making friends worldwide.
The "cloud lessons" contributed towards international talent cultivation, inclusiveness, and innovative teaching methods. Through three consecutive years of development, the lessons are expected to continue to improve in the future.
