More than 20 international students from universities in Shanghai participated in the city's "International Students See Shanghai" activity on Sept 27.
The Gen Z students — those born between the mid-1990s and the early 2010s — are students at Fudan University, Tongji University, East China Normal University and Shanghai University.
They visited Qian Xuesen's former residence and Rewi Alley's former residence, and toured along Suzhou Creek and around Zhongshan Park.
After a tour of the well-preserved historical relics, the activity was intended to reveal Shanghai's history and culture as well as the city's soft power to the students.
