Organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and hosted by the School of International Exchange of Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance (SLU), the "Travel to China, A Journey through Business Culture" Chinese Bridge Online Camp kicked off online at 4:30 pm on Oct 17.
Yao Jie, associate dean of School of International Exchange, teachers of School of International Exchange and more than 400 students and teachers from 10 countries including Vietnam, Russia, Greece and Poland gathered online to participate in the opening ceremony.
Yao delivered a speech at the opening ceremony by expressing her warm welcome to the students and teachers from all over the world who participated in this "Chinese Bridge" program, and expressed her heartfelt thanks to the overseas partner institutions who gave great support to this program, hoping that the students would learn Chinese well, improve their understanding of Chinese culture, and help language and culture exchanges and mutual appreciation.
At the opening ceremony, representatives of the program introduced in detail the use of the platform, course arrangements, attendance and homework requirements, and completion requirements. All teachers and students enjoyed an online "Campus Tour" and watched the university's promotional video.
The program is a two-week program that provides a variety of online live and recorded courses according to students' Chinese language level, including business Chinese, Chinese language development and Chinese business culture lectures.
This is the third year that SLU has hosted the "Chinese Bridge" online camp. The program is centered on business characteristics, and the best international Chinese teachers and English professional teachers are selected to create a series of business Chinese and all-English business lecture courses. The successful promotion of the program has effectively enhanced the international influence of the university. The program provides a platform for overseas Chinese language enthusiasts to learn and communicate with each other online, which is an important initiative for SLU to cooperate and communicate with global partners in the post-pandemic era.
