Cities in East China's Jiangsu province recently released their 2023 plans for education development in the annual government work reports.
According to the reports, Suzhou will continue to strengthen the role of education in boosting innovation and further develop vocational education, higher education, and continuing education simultaneously this year.
Wuxi will focus on attracting more top universities in China to set up research institutes in the city to aid its industrial growth. It will also establish 30 new kindergartens, and primary and middle schools, as well as improve policies to provide all children of migrant workers with equal access to education in 2023.
Suqian stated in its government report that it will further upgrade the infrastructure of its primary and middle schools, and put nine new schools into operation within the year.
Changzhou plans to build or renovate 78 schools to increase the admission quota by 31,000, while Taizhou will initiate 30 school construction projects.
