Shanghai Ocean University recently organized an activity for international students to experience Chinese dragon boat culture and the university's dragon boat team members served as mentors.
The mentors taught the international students how to row a dragon boat, stressed the importance of cooperation, and introduced the history and development of dragon boats in China, especially dragon boat racing and China's traditional Dragon Boat Festival.
The international students said after they rowed on dragon boats, they had a better understanding of the spirit of dragon boat racing and learned more about the university's water sports.
