The award ceremony for the second "Immersive Experience of Nanjing – Chinese and International Youth Short Video Contest" was held in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province on April 7.

The contest, which began last November, encourages Chinese and foreign youth to explore Nanjing and use cameras to document their experiences in the city.

Another award-winning work, titled "King of Boni's Journey through Time", was produced by Arumi Izaazwazini, a Bruneian student at Southeast University. In the video, Izaazwazini meets the king of Boni, which is often considered to be the predecessor of modern Brunei, at the Memorial Park of the King of Boni.

Izaazwazini said she hopes her work can help Chinese and Bruneians learn more about history and strengthen bilateral relations.

Huangfu Zhaohui, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Municipal People's Government, said Nanjing is currently home to about 20,000 permanent foreign residents and that she hopes to show them Nanjing is an open and inclusive city through the contest.

Organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Municipal People's Government, the Nanjing bureau of culture and tourism, and the Nanjing Internet Culture Association, the second contest attracted nearly 100 Chinese and foreign participants from 21 countries, including students from 19 universities in Nanjing. The third edition of the contest will be launched soon.
