Michael Kwet Pin Chan Yee Choy, a Mauritian student studying at the university's Chinese Language and Culture College, expressed his reflections on the event. "As I near graduation, this will be my final opportunity to engage in a dragon boat race during my time at university. Throughout my four years here, I have developed a profound fondness for dragon boat racing. It is a sport that necessitates teamwork and mutual support from the entire team. Through the competition, we have not only deepened our bonds but also gained a profound understanding of Chinese culture's emphasis on unity and harmony," he said.

This event was organized by the Sports Committee of Huaqiao University and executed by the university's Sports Institute and dragon boat training base.

As the only Chinese university with a distinctive dragon boat training base, established by the China Overseas Exchange Association, Huaqiao University has played a crucial role in promoting Chinese traditional culture globally. They have trained dragon boat coaches from various countries, effectively using dragon boat racing as a means to share the rich heritage of Chinese culture with people worldwide.

The university's cutting-edge dragon boat training facility is now ready to be fully operational.
