The "Experiencing China" social and cultural experience activity was recently held in Shanghai.

Themed "Dual Carbon Emission Reduction and Modern New City Construction", the activity allowed international students to gain a deeper understanding of the city and China.

The activity was organized by the East China University of Science and Technology and the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and hosted by the China Scholarship Council. Nearly 50 international students from more than 20 countries who received the Chinese Government Scholarship attended the event.

During the field trips that were a part of the activity, the participants were left impressed by China's scientific and technological innovation at the Canature Environmental Protection Water Purification Industrial Park. They also visited the China Maritime Museum to learn about the long history of Chinese civilization. They also had the chance to feel the vitality of the Lin-gang Special Area when they visited the Nanhuizui Guanhai Park, which is located on the coast to the east of Dishui Lake.

"This is my second time participating in the 'Experiencing China' activity. Every experience was unforgettable. I am very grateful to the Chinese government and my university for providing me with such an opportunity to learn more about China, and I hope to bring the knowledge I have learned in China back to my country in the future and contribute to further exchanges between the two countries," said an international student from Papua New Guinea who is an undergraduate student in International Trade at the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.

"This is a very meaningful day, and I am very grateful to East China University of Science and Technology for giving me this opportunity to further understand China, and the deeper I understand, the deeper my feelings for China become," said an international student from Pakistan who is pursuing a master's degree in Chemical Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology.
