In 2020, an unexpected pandemic changed the entire world, bringing immense difficulties and challenges to Viorika Anisah Putri, an international student at Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute. However, she faced the adversity with bravery and resilience, overcoming the various obstacles imposed by the pandemic. She completed her academic tasks with diligence, maintaining a positive attitude and unwavering perseverance. Whether it was online learning or remote practice, she remained focused and passionate, demonstrating extraordinary learning abilities and self-discipline.

In the graduation season of 2023, she became the recipient of the Principal Medal at Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute. She was widely recognized for her indomitable willpower and determined spirit.

Faced with the pandemic, the school was temporarily unable to conduct regular teaching activities. However, Viorika did not lose heart. She fully utilized online resources and actively participated in remote learning. Through online courses and independent study, she continued to improve her language and other professional skills. With a responsible attitude, she completed every academic task and actively participated in class discussions, bringing vitality and warmth to the classroom environment.

Despite being unable to communicate face-to-face, Viorika established close connections with both teachers and students alike. She proactively contacted her teachers, asked questions, and actively sought solutions. At the same time, she was happy to help her classmates, sharing her learning experiences and knowledge, encouraging others, and progressing together.

Viorika is also enthusiastic about public welfare and has set a good example among the international student community. She actively participates in volunteer service activities, providing help and support to the local community and schools. She cares for vulnerable groups and actively engages in public welfare projects, demonstrating social responsibility through practical actions. Her dedication and spirit of selflessness have earned her unanimous praise from those around her. Through her actions, she embodies a commitment to social responsibility and contributes her energy to promoting Indonesia's development.

Viorika has demonstrated outstanding performance in language learning. She diligently studied Chinese, and through online learning and self-study, she successfully passed the HSK Level 4 Chinese Proficiency Exam at the local Confucius Institute in 2021. Her proficiency in the Chinese language continues to improve, enabling her to better communicate and connect with Chinese people, bridging the gap between Chinese and foreign cultures. This solid foundation will lay the groundwork for her future studies and achievements.

Viorika actively participated in the "Chinese + Logistics Vocational Skills" International Competition and with her solid language and professional skills and won the top prize in the international student group. She also received the Assistant-level Logistics Professional Certification from the Secretary Office of the Logistics Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. She showcased her professional skills and language abilities in the competition, earning high praise from the competition judges. This honor not only affirms her personal efforts but also serves as an outstanding example of the school's talent cultivation in the "Silk Road" technical skills field. The school also received the competition's "Excellent Organization Award".

Viorika has shown great interest and enthusiasm for China's "Belt and Road" Initiative. She actively participates in lectures and seminars related to the initiative, gaining a deep understanding of how it works and the opportunities it brings. She uses her knowledge and applies it to the social and economic development situation in Indonesia, actively contemplating how to promote cooperation and exchange between the two countries. She hopes to become a friendly ambassador of collaboration, contributing to the development of China-Indonesia relations.

On the eve of graduation, she was employed by a "Going Global" Chinese-funded enterprise, PT. Gunbuster Nickel Industry in Indonesia. Through her hard work, she consistently contributes to the company, the school, and China-Indonesia exchanges.

Viorika actively participates in cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, serving as a messenger of friendly interactions between China and Indonesia. She was selected as an alumni liaison person of YPI in the 2023 semester. With an open and inclusive mindset, she delves into Chinese culture, actively introducing Chinese culture, customs, and traditions to her family and friends, promoting cultural exchange and integration between China and Indonesia.

She actively participated in the essay competition "Encountering the Beauty of China" organized by the International Student Service Center of Ministry of Education of China. With a unique perspective and the utmost sincerity, she showcased her love for Chinese culture and shared her experience of studying in China. Through graceful writing, she presented an image of an international student who seeks knowledge, builds friendships, and loves China, demonstrating her deep affection for China and her positive attitude towards cross-cultural exchange.
