Southeast University in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province and Monash University in Melbourne, Australia marked a significant milestone as they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their partnership.
The event, held in Suzhou on June 27, witnessed the signing of a cooperation memorandum between principals of the two universities to deepen collaboration and advance research and innovation in major scientific and technological fields as well as frontier areas.

Also during the conference, the Australia China Research Center for Sustainable Development was inaugurated. Leveraging the educational resources of both universities, the center focuses on areas such as natural resources and the environment, green technology industries, digital economy, and healthcare. It seeks to establish a high-end think tank and offer insights for national and industrial sustainable development.
The two universities started their partnership by establishing a joint graduate school in 2013. The school has five major research centers focusing on future cities, energy and the environment, advanced materials and manufacturing, and life sciences.
Over the past decade, the graduate school has achieved remarkable success in nurturing high-level talent and promoting research innovation. Presently, it has 1,541 enrolled students and owns more than 2,000 invention patents.
