Xia Jianhui, deputy director of the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), led a delegation to the New Zealand International Education Conference (NZIEC) from August 17 to 18. As a key ancillary event of the conference, the "Study in China" brand was officially introduced in New Zealand and received with great enthusiasm.
The brand was extensively showcased through a variety of platforms - including video presentations, app-based posters, cultural demonstrations, and physical booth displays - to key officials from the New Zealand government as well as leading representatives from both the Chinese and New Zealand educational sectors. The event effectively highlighted China's advancements in higher education and bolstered the international reputation of Chinese educational institutions. Furthermore, it helped facilitate the exchange of educational insights and cultural understanding between China and New Zealand.
During the event, Huai Jinpeng, Chinese Minister of Education, Liu Jin, director of the Ministry of Education’s Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Liu Zicheng, director of the Ministry of Education’s Department of Comprehensive Reforms, government officials from Singapore and representatives from the Chinese and New Zealand educational sectors watched the “Study in China” promotional video and visited the “Study in China” booth. Xia provided a detailed overview of the milestones achieved in the field of Chinese higher education and elaborated on the ongoing efforts in building the "Study in China" brand to those in attendance.
The Chinese embassy in New Zealand offered strong support and assistance in promoting the “Study in China” brand at the event.
