Monif Md Alamin Goni, a Bangladeshi youth with the aspiration of the Chinese Dream who holds strong beliefs in and actively responds to the Belt and Road Initiative, purposefully traveled to the mysterious land of China. He arrived at Yangzhou Polytechnic Institute, a vibrant institution, with a mission of pursuing knowledge.
During his journey of studying abroad, Goni adopts the motto of being helpful and recognizing the beauty around him, showcasing outstanding qualities. He actively learns from Chinese classmates, accumulating valuable knowledge and friendships.
Goni affectionately describes his life in China: in the early morning, quiet reading fills the campus; at noon, crowds converge like a colorful stream; in the evening, the aroma of home-cooked meals wafts through the air, like a splendid fireworks display. He is filled with affection for this country, seeing the lovable, lively, and vibrant side of China.
He said that this year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and as the first country in South Asia to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in building the Belt and Road with China, Bangladesh has achieved fruitful cooperation with China under the BRI in recent years. Chinese enterprises have been involved in the construction of a large number of roads, bridges, and power projects in Bangladesh, and have participated in the construction of sewage treatment plants and university campuses, as well as river channel improvements and surface water treatment facilities, creating employment opportunities for at a minimum hundreds of thousands of people. They have made positive contributions in various fields to promote economic and social development and improve people's livelihoods in Bangladesh. All of this has given him the motivation and confidence to continue his in-depth studies in China to help fulfill the dream of Golden Bangladesh.
In the future, Goni will tirelessly strive to promote cultural exchange and mutual learning. Using his own strength, he will convey China's culture and values to his family, friends, and classmates. He actively contributes to deepening the friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and China, steadfastly pursuing his Chinese Dream.
