It also built a cultural bridge between China and the world, just like the "Eternal Flame" torch that was passed between torchbearers, symbolizing the heritage of Chinese culture.
"The high technology used in the venue showcased 'Digital China' and the rapid development of China," said Ishikawa Namiko, a Japanese student studying at Renmin University of China.
Luo Xuejuan, an Olympic medalist and also the first torchbearer of the 19th Asian Games, had a face-to-face with international students currently studying in China.
