Magdalini Matziari, an associate professor at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, has been living in Suzhou for 11 years.
Over the years, Matziari has gained a new understanding of Chinese cities. For instance, Suzhou, where the old and new harmoniously coexist, seamlessly blends tradition with modernity.
Matziari appreciates China's traditional culture and often spends her leisure time strolling through Suzhou's classical gardens. "My favorite one is the Master of the Nets Garden, which is small and delicate like a bonsai tree."
In addition to Suzhou, Matziari has visited a number of other cities in China, such as Xi'an, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Nanjing. She said she is deeply impressed by the Chinese people's commitment to preserving their traditional culture.
