BISU Professor reports on Silk Road University developments

Zou Tongqian, an assistant to the president of Beijing International Studies University (BISU), dean of the China Academy of Culture and Tourism, and vice-rector of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage (Silk Road University), presented updates on BISU's contribution to the joint building of the Silk Road University to Chinese Vice-Premier Liu Guozhong during his visit to Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on May 14.

Zou elaborated on the progress of Silk Road University, detailing advancements such as the establishment of the Belt and Road Archaeology Laboratory. He also conveyed hopes for continued support and assistance.

Zou held discussions with Uzbekistan's Ambassador to China Farhod Arziev regarding the construction of Silk Road University and invited the ambassador to visit it.

Arziev expressed satisfaction with the university's development and committed to arranging a visit soon to offer further support.

Premier Liu Guozhong made his visit to Uzbekistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov. During his visit, he engaged with local government officials, focusing on potential collaborations in agriculture, commerce and healthcare. The visit underscored a significant stride forward in bilateral relations between the two nations.
