The 2024 Belt and Road Youth Sports Exchange Week began in Suqian with a dynamic outdoor sports challenge on May 25. Over 100 participants from nearly 30 countries taking part in the Belt and Road Initiative, including Laos, Thailand, Zambia, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, gathered to compete in various events.

The challenge featured beach volleyball, beach soccer, frisbee games, and hiking, providing participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their courage and teamwork. Following the competitions, participants engaged in cultural exchange activities, visiting historic sites such as the hometown of ancient Chinese military leader Xiang Yu and Santai Mountain National Forest Park. These activities allowed them to experience the culture of Suqian and deepen their understanding of the region and Jiangsu province.

The outdoor sports challenge promotes healthy, enjoyable competition and enhances communication among participants. Through such initiatives, youth from various countries have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Belt and Road, strengthening international bonds and understanding.
