On July 23, representatives from China and Africa discussed enhancing international exchange and cooperation in volunteer services at a forum held in Changsha, Hunan province.

Chinese volunteer representatives shared their experiences in emergency relief, school construction, medical aid, and organizing sports competitions in Africa, while their counterparts shared stories of volunteering in China.

The International Volunteer Services Forum, one of the sub-forums of the Seventh China-Africa People's Forum and the Seventh China-Africa Young Leaders Forum, aims to deepen China-Africa volunteer service exchanges and cooperation through in-depth discussions and experience sharing. This forum also seeks to contribute volunteer efforts to foster friendship between China and Africa and build a closer China-Africa community with a shared future.

The forum was guided by the Social Work Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and organized by the China Volunteer Service Federation.

The forum's theme is Volunteering for a Better Future: Enhancing International Exchanges and Cooperation on Volunteer Services to Jointly Build a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.

Approximately 200 government officials, international organization leaders, experts and scholars, representatives from enterprises, social organizations, and media from China and African countries participated in the forum.
