In late October last year, the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) successful concluded its "Seminar on Economic and Trade Cooperation for Developing Countries," marking the fulfillment of its annual foreign aid training programs.
In 2024, the School of International Development and Cooperation at UIBE successfully implemented four foreign aid training programs, providing training to 106 participants from 20 countries spanning Turkmenistan, Africa, and Latin America. The training programs covered a wide range of fields, including economics and trade, agriculture, and diplomacy.
Among them, three seminars were designed around the theme of sustainable development, focusing on topics such as the World Trade Organization, economic and trade cooperation, and South-South cooperation.
Leveraging these programs as a platform, the School actively contributed to China's Belt and Road Initiative and broader diplomatic efforts. Participants were offered a deep appreciation of traditional Chinese culture and firsthand insights into China's path to modernization. Through a variety of specialized courses and carefully curated services, the programs helped strengthen the bonds of friendship between China and the participants' home countries.
At the same time, the School actively shared China's development experience since the reform and opening-up, as well as its philosophies on trade and investment. By promoting its principles of openness, inclusiveness, and mutual benefit, the School enhanced UIBE's international visibility and influence, creating a favorable environment for the university's continued development on the global stage.
