Twenty-five education officers from Liberia's education ministry will take a two-week study tour in China as part of a concerted effort to enhance Liberia's education sector.

The tour highlights Liberia's dedication to advancing educational standards through international partnerships, Education Minister Jarso M. Jallah said.

The delegation, which includes teachers and master trainers from rural teacher training institutions, was selected via a transparent, merit-based process, according to the ministry. Nineteen members left for China on Thursday, while the remaining six will join on Sunday.

The primary goal of the tour is to introduce participants to China's innovative teaching methodologies and its effective education systems.

During a pre-departure briefing, held on Wednesday, Jallah emphasized the tour's importance for improving instructional quality and facilitating professional development within Liberia's educational framework.

"This is an opportunity to learn, share and return with practical ideas that will enhance our classrooms," Jallah remarked, expressing gratitude to China for its ongoing support.
