Yosef Bader Meshari, director of the culture and dialogue of civilizations department at the Secretariat of LAS and a participant in the program, described the field trip to Shenzhen as both highly informative and thoroughly engaging.

He said that since China and the LAS Secretariat issued a joint statement on implementing the Global Civilization Initiative, it has encouraged more cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and the Arab world.

Another program participant, Omar Dinia, deputy of strategy and cooperation at Morocco's Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, told China Daily Website on Friday that he was amazed to learn how much Shenzhen has changed in the past four decades, from a small fishing village to an international metropolis.

Dinia highlighted that Shenzhen's advanced technologies left a deep impression on him.

"What impressed me most was the drone that delivered the coffee we ordered in a park. I have visited all the continents in the world but have never experienced something like this in any other country. It was truly a dream-like experience," he said.
