The traditional and energetic Yingge dance grabbed the spotlight in the streets of Shenzhen city in South China's Guangdong province during the recent Lantern Festival — with all eyes on this year's lead dancer.

Turning heads in the role was Zhuang Enqi, a 7-year-old girl, who captured the hearts of a global audience with her powerful and beautiful moves.

The Yingge dance, a traditional folk dance from the Chaoshan region in Guangdong, combines martial arts, opera and dance.

The dance troupe, accompanied by the powerful rhythm of drums and gongs, created an atmosphere of raw energy and heroism for the Lantern Festival.
