San Jose has become the first US city to establish a Hanfu Day, with Aug 30 officially proclaimed as San Jose Hanfu Day. Members of the NorCal Hanfu Association also presented Mayor Matt Mahan with the English-language book Hanfu: A Visual Primer of Historical Han Chinese Attire, introducing hanfu and its rich cultural heritage. With a history spanning more than 3,000 years, hanfu offers a window into Chinese history and culture.
