Sponsored by the China Scholarship Council and undertaken by Central South University, a social and cultural experience activity with the theme "Experiencing China in Gorgeous Hunan" successfully kicked off on May 11, 2019.
One hundred international students from five universities in 35 countries and regions gained a deeper understanding of local private enterprise, ethnic innovation and folk creativity in Central China's Hunan province through the activity. Wang Shenggang, deputy secretary-general of the China Scholarship Council attended the activity to offer guidance.
International students visited Sany Group Co., Ltd., Longping Rice Museum, and Yuhua Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum. They were deeply impressed by the high-end technology products, foreign aid construction, and time-honored Chinese traditions and customs.
By attending lectures on the intangible cultural heritage of Hunan and listening to stories about the province's history and culture, international students got a more distinct impression of Hunan.
The activity allowed international students to learn about the increasingly abundant creativity of Chinese private enterprises, the innovative vitality of the Chinese nation, and the creativity of Hunan’s people, which strengthened their understanding of Chinese culture.
